Vision and Mission

Our vision of education

“In the light of the Gospel and the charism of St. Bartolomea, we commit ourselves to ‘Education for Transformation’ by forming individuals to be spiritually oriented, intellectually alert, morally upright, emotionally balanced, socially conscious, patriotic and be agents of change for a just society.”

Accordingly, the immediate objectives of the educational institutions are education understood in its large context as Promotion of human values guided by faith in God and respect for persons with a strong sense of justice in an atmosphere of discipline where learning and intellectual development take place in the pursuit of study, enquiry and research leading to a specific and recognized examination.

The vision of education of the Sisters of Charity is an education of the heart and is woven in an ambience of friendliness, understanding and availability after the example of Jesus the Divine Teacher. In the footsteps of our foundress St. Bartolomea Capitanio, with special preference for the most needy, we groom the young to become spiritually oriented, morally upright, intellectually alert, culturally integrated, socially committed and compassionate global citizens who care for the common home - Mother Earth.

Following the example of our foundress, we dedicate ourselves to educating young people in schools and colleges.

All the educational institutions of the Sisters of Charity are caring communities and centres of learning where the students become the focus of the life and activities of the school. The institutions accompany the students in their growth to self-realization and commitment to society. St. Bartolomea summed it up as “Preparing them for life by facing its challenges and by earning their living.” (F.D.4)
